U.S. citizens and foreign nationals can be victims of sex and labor trafficking. This session will focus on how we can better understand and help the very vulnerable population of immigrant victims and survivors of human trafficking and those who are at risk.
Our guest speaker for this training is Vania Aguilar, M.S., program director with the Florida State University Center for the Advancement of Human Rights and a STAC Board member. She will speak about the trafficking of immigrant adults and children.
This session is part of STAC’s monthly trainings, offered from 1 to 3 p.m. on the third Friday of every month in partnership with the Big Bend Coalition Against Human Trafficking and the United Church in Tallahassee. Each month’s training has a different focus, and all participants receive a certificate upon completion.
