United Partners for Human Services re-ran its Tale of Two Tally’s article in March highlighting the inequities that exist in preventing all of our neighbors from achieving economic mobility and the impacts on one’s quality of life.
Human trafficking is certainly an area in which vulnerable populations due to economic insecurity and instability are targeted. Human trafficking is rooted in power, greed and exploitation and we can all play a role in ending it locally through education, empowerment and connection.
If I asked you: Are you for or against human trafficking, you would say AGAINST, of course. The next steps then, are to: Educate (yourself and others), Empower (the vulnerable) and Connect (to resources for help and for support).
