Honoring Black Voices in the Anti-Trafficking Movement
February 23, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Each year, February is celebrated as “Black History Month” to reflect on and appreciate the contributions that African Americans and those of the African diaspora have made in all aspects of our nation’s history, especially in fighting for the human rights of all. In this event, service providers will hear from survivors of labor trafficking as they engage in a meaningful conversation to discuss disparities in the movement regarding race, share their views on the term “modern-day slavery,” and describe how they define “justice.”
