SUMMARY:Recognizing and Responding to Human Trafficking in the Non-Profit Workplace
DESCRIPTION:Sex and labor trafficking victims\, adults and youth\, are trafficked and exploited in plain sight\, including at our area businesses and workplaces. How those of us in the non-profit world who are employees and managers safely recognize and respond to trafficking situations in ways that protect trafficking victims and the workplace? Children and adults who are trafficked and who are vulnerable to being trafficked need the eyes and ears of our community’s workforce to know how to recognize trafficking situations. At the same time\, past or current human trafficking survivors are very likely to be among our area’s non-profit client populations.  \nThis in person session an interactive and live presentation of the online STACPRO training program\, tailored to non-profits because they are BOTH workplaces AND organizations whose work includes and empowering community members and perhaps supporting sex and labor trafficking survivors.
