SUMMARY:Navigating Tax Controversies Affecting Human Trafficking Survivors
DESCRIPTION:While often overlooked\, resolving tax controversies is a critical step for survivors of human trafficking seeking economic stabilization. Survivors often face unexpected tax liabilities as a result of fraudulent actions taken by their traffickers\, unpaid taxes\, and other complications arising from their trafficking experience – with such issues often taking years to identify and needing expert help to resolve.
