DESCRIPTION:Join us on September 26th for a panel discussion features experienced service providers\, all working in the anti-trafficking sphere. Participants will hear from Dr. Beth Bowman\, Assistant Professor of Social Work Gallaudet University and CEO of Restoring Ivy Collective\, Liz Kimbel\, Maryland Regional Director for Restoring Ivy Collective\, Jewell Copeland\, Baltimore City Human Trafficking Regional Navigator and Center for Hope Anti-Trafficking and Exploitation Program Supervisor\, and Natalie Bishop\, Esq. Staff Attorney (Immigration and Human Trafficking Focus) for the Sexual Assault Legal Institute. \nWith the upcoming October 1st enactment of the Safe Harbor Bill\, that will protect child survivors from being prosecuted for certain crimes that are a direct result of the trafficking\, this webinar will explore each of the panelists’ professional experiences working with different populations of human trafficking survivors and discuss the resources they use and the trauma informed approaches they employ in their work.
